BARKLIFE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Dog walking and animal care pop in services can only be agreed once Barklife has met the client and dog or animal. All terms and conditions will be deemed accepted and agreed upon signing the Barklife booking form.
2. Dogs joining group walks need to be sociable and any behavioural problems must be declared prior to commencement of services. Barklife reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time with immediate effect, if the dog is causing concern.
3. All dogs are subject to a week's trial, to ensure they are adequately trained and socialise well with the rest of the group.
4. The client’s dog must wear a collar or harness and wear an ID tag containing the clients contact details. Barklife will provide a further identity tag for the duration of the booking.
5. Dog walks will be cut short if extreme weather conditions arise (ie, thunder storms, heat). This is for the dog’s safety.
6. All dogs will be walked on lead. Should off lead walking be agreed, Barklife will need to be satisfied that the dog's recall is effective prior.
7. Barklife is insured for Public Liability and the client should adequately insure their own animal. Barkife reserves the right to refuse a booking for any uninsured animal.
8. Barklife cannot accept liability for any loss, injury, illness or death whilst in its care.
9. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst the animal is in the care of Barklife.
10. Should any legal claim be made against the dog, animal or Barklife, whilst in Barklife's care, all costs will be covered by the animal's owner.
11. The client must notify their veterinary practice that Barklife will be acting as guardian in the client's absence. The client must provide their veterinary practice's contact details prior to commencement of services.
12. The client must notify Barklife who will be the animals acting guardian in the client's absence. The client must provide emergency contact details of the guardian and they must be capable of making immediate decisions relating to the animal. If contact cannot be established with the guardian Barklife reserves the right to consult with the client's veterinary practice concerning the animal's welfare and best interests.
13. Dogs must be annually vaccinated and a copy of the vaccination record provided to Barklife prior to commencement of services. All vaccinations must be completed 4 weeks prior to any booking. Barklife recommend dogs are vaccinated against kennel cough, however this is not mandatory.
14. All dogs must be regularly treated for flea and worm control.
15. The client must advise Barklife of any health issues or allergies prior to commencement of services.
16. Barklife is unable to walk female dogs in season.
17. Barklife cannot be held responsible if the client's dog impregnates or is impregnated by other dogs whilst in its care.
18. Owners are not insured when travelling in Barklife's vehicle. Owners will be travelling at their own risk should they wish to accompany their animal when booking emergency animal taxi services.
19. Client's house keys are securely stored away from the corresponding animal’s paperwork.
20. Client’s personal details will not be passed on to any third party.
21. Full payment for services is to be made within 7 days of receipt of invoice, as per the date specified on the invoice, via bank transfer, cheque or cash. If payment is not made within the specified time 2.5% of the total bill will be added for each day that the payment is overdue.
22. Booking cancellations must be notified at least 48 hours prior to the agreed booking or will be payable in full.
23. Bookings will be fully chargeable if access to the animal cannot be made through no fault of Barklife.
24. Barklife reserves the right to cancel bookings at short notice. Should this occur a full refund will be given.
